MacGoyer

Born and raised in the village of Kilbride on the Isle of Skye, MacGoyer’s love affair with aviation mechanics began at a young age. Too young to enlist, he spent the Great War building airplanes in Broadford. After the Armistice, he signed on with Supermarine Aviation works building flying boats. At the historic 1927 Schneider Air Race in Venice, he met Captain Tempest and the two men soon became fast friends. They continued corresponding by letter and telegram, discussing plane design and mechanical challenges in the field. When MacGoyer lost his job in the winter of 1930, Tempest was quick to offer him a partnership. The two have flown across the world and back, and MacGoyer has proven himself the only man capable of fixing a plane together faster than Tempest can fly it apart.
